Detection Algorithms for Hyperspectral Imaging
Hyperspectral imaging sensors in the reflective region of the spectrum acquire digital images in very narrow spectral bands between 0.4-2.5µm Hyperspectral imaging can be used in a broad range of application like target detection, anomaly detection and background characterization which can not be resolved by multispectral imaging. In this article, we focus on algorithms that rely on the ability to separate materials from background based on their spectral signatures. The Adaptive Coherent Estimator (ACE) and … detection algorithms are used for mineral material detection. These algorithms applied on HYMAP image that is taken from Cuprites region in NEVADA. The experiment results show that the ACE algorithm has perfect performance for full-pixel materials.
