An Organizational Strategy and the Application of Spatial Data Based on Assigning Technology

  • The core of Geographic Information System (GIS) is functions of spatial analysis , in which spatial overlay analysis is one of the most important parts. For example, we use spatial overlay analysis to deal with reducing cultivated land to forest, ecological evaluation and soil corrosion for one region.There are two types of spatial overlay analysis: one is based on raster data, and the other is based on vector data. Most scholars in China and other countries implement spatial overlay analysis on the basis of raster data. If the spatial overlay analysis is based on raster data, the region of research is board, and the scale of the graphics is large, then massive raster data is needed in overlay analysis and the hardware of the computer should be in high qualities, and also, it can’t offer the spatial analysis under the complicated mathematical model. Dynamic grid system is complete a kind of vector data format, implementing the merge of the data that comes from multi-sources data by such interoperability methods as contour assigning technology and cell assigning technology, supporting the spatial analysis under the complicated mathematical model. Data grid is the fundamental work of graphics drafting, scientific computing and the realization of spatial analysis. The paper uses contour assigning technology, cell assigning technology and dynamic grid system to implement interoperability of multi-sources data. Assigning grid system has multi-attributes, which applies Geographic Information System (GIS) and the external program to implement overlay analysis and other complicated spatial analysis functions. The merits of dynamic grid system are a complete vector format, the data quantity being small; implementing multi-sources data merging and spatial analysis of the massive data.
